Do you see what I'm getting at? The overuse of the exclamation point is a rampant disease that has affected our generation of text and email junkies.
Definition of an exclamation point from The National Punctuation Today website is: The sign used in writing after an exclamation or interjections, expressing strong emotion or astonishment, or to indicate a command.
Please read this website if you suffer from this illness. It is treatable. http://www.nationalpunctuationday.com/exclamationpoint.html

WOW! I never realized how much I use these exclamation marks. I can't believe that all this time I was over using. I'm just kidding with you Michael. It is true though I do use them when they aren't necessary and a lot when I'm texting. My friends use them even more, but that does go along with their personality. I think they use them more when texting because they feel like it’s less personal so they have to over exaggerate when texting because you can’t hear what they are saying or how they are saying it.

We are just making things up. Things have changed so much and what we do is write things that we think are right, but we are too lazy to look it up.Texting is a major problem becuase we cut words and place things where there not suppose to go. Shame on us.
ReplyDeleteHey Michael, Just for fun, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, lol. K anyway now to the important part. I liked how you did this grammer post. You added a lot of humor into it and emphasized your point by calling it an illness. Very Effective!!! K I'm done. Good job on the post and very enjoyable.
